Paediatric and Adult Spine Surgeon

Dr Adam Parr is a Queensland based Orthopaedic spine surgeon for adults and children. Dr Parr completed his advanced orthopaedic training in Brisbane and North Queensland.

Dr Parr has a subspecialist spinal fellowship, which he obtained under the guidance of Dr Geoff Askin. The 12 month fellowship focused on complex deformity in children and adults treating a range of conditions such as scoliosis, degenerative disease, disc pathology, trauma and tumours.

Dr Parr holds public appointments at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Childrens’ Hospital. He is the clinical lead of spinal surgery for Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Dr Parr is actively involved in spinal research through the Biomechanics and Spine Research Group in Brisbane. He has published a number of peer reviewed journals. He is a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland, certified independent medical examiner and Australian Army reservist.
